Introduction

Hey there WA! We got big news for you all!

For most of our existence, you have always been able to get prizes through winning challenges or events. We promise that you will be able to do this for as long as this community is here. However, today we are opening the door for you all to earn prizes a different way.

That’s right. From here on out, you can now earn gems that you can exchange for prizes, some of which you have never been able to earn in the past! Please read the following for all the helpful information that you’ll need.

The Basics

The first thing that is important to understand about our currency system is that this system will not be replacing anything. You will still be able to get regular prizes through challenges and events. This is only an alternate way to get prizes on this community. This system is also optional. You do not have to partake in using currency if you do not want to, but hopefully all the sweet deals will convince you otherwise.

Now then, in order to get gems, you have to first complete a task. For example, if you achieved a six month streak, you will get a set amount of gems in return. The way we will keep track of how many gems you have is via a custom title on your profile. This title will change as you earn or spend gems.

If you already have 20 titles, I’m afraid you will have to delete one in order to make room for it. This title system is the easiest way to keep track of everyone’s gems, and this is currently the only system in place for keeping track.

We do plan on revamping and updating this system depending on how many use it and if you have any ideas. So, let us know what you think in the comments of this post!

Missions

Below is a long list of all the tasks you can do to get gems, and how many gems you can get in exchange. When you complete a task, you must alert us using this google form with proof you completed the task. It will be your responsibility to report your completions to us.

All of these tasks that have been completed prior to the currency’s existence will not be eligible for exchanging with the exception of a few tasks that will be marked with an asterisk (*). The exception tasks will still need to be reported to us via the forms, though!

* = Can claim if you’ve completed the challenge prior to the currency’s existence.

⊴ WEEKLY ACTIVITY ⊵
Every Sunday (starting September 2nd) we will announce the three members who got the most minutes for weekly activity on the leaderboard. First place will receive 40 gems, second place will receive 20 gems, and third place will receive 15 gems. However, if you are in the top three for the week you cannot also claim reaching 1K minutes.

⊴ CLUB MEMBER OF THE MONTH ⊵
If you are in a club, this could possibly benefit you. Every month, the club managers will ask all of the club leaders to elect their most outstanding and active member to receive 25 gems. However, you cannot be selected more than three times in a year, and you cannot be selected two times in a row.

⊴ ART AND ADOPTABLES ⊵
Are you an artist or a master character creator? Come sell your stuff via this form (requires Google sign-in)!

If you are selling art, make sure to either put a watermark on the image or make the image a terribly low quality. Once the user purchases the art, they will be redirected to you for the un-watermarked version or the higher quality version. Doing this will get you 25 gems in return.

If you are selling adoptables/OC's, make sure to put a trademark on it. Once the user purchases the OC, they will be redirected to you to get the rights of the character. Doing this will get you 15 gems in return.

FAQ

『Will clubs be able to gift gems to members?』
No. As of now, the only club interaction available with the currency system is the member of the month. This is because the currency system is brand new, and we want to limit it to just staff before we attempt to branch it out to clubs.

『Will members be able to donate gems?』
Nope. This is something we are considering adding in the future, but as of now you cannot give your gems away to other members.

『Can I refund prizes?』
Nope. All prizes are final.

『Can I open up a shop to sell gems?』
Not for the moment. You are stuck with the gems you have until they are spent.

『Do I have to partake in this system?』
Nah. This is 100% optional. You can still get the most out of your WA experience without the currency system. As we said, this is only an addition, not a replacement.

『What do I do if I haven’t gotten my gems/prizes?』
Please allow staff up to 24 hours to gift your gems/prizes before alerting a staff member. If you are requesting something from a staff member, said staff member will PM you within the 24 hour frame and let you know that the request has been received and is being worked on. If you have not received your prizes/gems after 24 hours, feel free to contact a staff member and we will look into the situation.

『What do I do if the proof needs to be in a screenshot?』
Just link your profile and tell the form to PM you. The person moderating the form will get back to you.

『Why aren't you guys using Amino's props system?』
While the Amino props system would be so much easier on our part, there are a lot of ways that system could be abused. Many people know how to get tons of coins a day without putting in real effort. Every account also starts out with 100 coins. This means by creating a mass amount of alt accounts, you could cheat the system. Considering the fact a lot of people already have a countless amount of coins, this system will be fair in the aspect of everyone will start out with the same number of gems: 0. There is also no way to cheat this system, so this will ensure you all are actually putting in the effort.

Amino empowers anyone to connect with others around what they love. With that mission comes a responsibility to keep every Amino member safe and happy. So we went ahead and created a set of universal community guidelines that apply to every single Amino. Individual Amino community leaders can create their own additional rules, as long as they don’t conflict with ours. Make sure you check those out, too.

Personal Info
Basic internet stuff: don’t trust anyone you met with your full name, exact address, phone number, account information, credit card information, or any other identifying information.

It will help protect you from scams, bullying, or any other dangers.

If someone says they’re from Team Amino and they start asking you for personal information or your password, report the conversation immediately. Team Amino will never do that.

Copyright & Intellectual Property
In general, if you post something, you should either own it or have gotten permission to post it. Don’t claim authorship over content that you didn’t create. Try creating something yourself instead. Join an art community to learn some tips.

Harassment & Hate
Be kind. Communities are about people coming together because they share something in common. We take this behavior very seriously, and explicitly ban:

If you feel harassed on Amino, we encourage you to block that user. Then take a breath and flag them for review. Lastly, take some time to compliment yourself, because you’re great.

Bad Internet Stuff
We want everyone in an Amino community to enjoy the content & discussions they want. Some activities ruin that experience. Some examples:
Super annoying, off-topic messagesPretty much any post, message, or comment aimed at sketchy money-making schemesAutomated posting, messages, comments...or automated anythingMaking the same post, message, or comment over and over and over and over and over again (really, once is enough)
Sexual Content & NSFW
We don’t allow sexually explicit imagery on Amino. How do we define sexual explict imagery? Like this:
Nude imagery intended to arouse. This includes provocative displays of genitals, human or otherwise. We know it when we see it.Any sexualized images of yourself or other members. These are technically covered by the ^above^, but Amino’s no place for that.
Sexually explicit content, including text-based communication, is prohibited in public posts, chats, and other public areas of Listed Amino communities. Some communities have extra rules on this subject, so be sure to check with your community’s leaders if you are unsure of what’s allowed.

Amino allows certain Unlisted communities to discuss sexual themes and related topics, as long as they are set to unsearchable, and are private or require Leader approval to enter. These communities still can’t have any sexually explicit imagery. And, obviously, the rest of these guidelines apply to them, too.

Self-Harm
Anything that promotes, glorifies, or encourages self-harm isn’t allowed on Amino. If it could intentionally physically, emotionally, or mentally harm an Amino community member, it has no place here.
If you see someone on Amino discussing harming themselves or others, let us know. And if you are going through something yourself, know you are not alone and that there are resources out there to help you through it.

Other Kinds of Graphic/Gross Content
Pretty straightforward: don’t post gore or graphic violence to shock other members. In fact, don’t post it at all. Don’t post anything that depicts the mutilation, torture, harm, or threats to human beings, animals, or any thinking, feeling being. And don’t post anything that glorifies any of the above.

Harm to Minors
Don’t post anything that encourages or glorifies any kind of sexual or suggestive activity with individuals under the age of 18. Be respectful of being young.
